Introducing myself

Greetings! I'm David Fell, and I'm here to expound on a variety of topics. I am a life-long Chicagoan, and work in the broadcast media. Exactly which part of the broadcast media will not be disclosed on this blog. That's because opinions expressed here are my own, and do not represent those of my employer, my clients, or anyone else. Don't blame my employer.

In addition to my day job, I am an independent video producer/director/camera operator/editor. I am currently working with the HDV format, and edit in Apple's Final Cut Pro. I am a Macoholic, with no intention of recovering. At this writing, I am awaiting a PowerMac G5 Quad, which will be a substantial improvement over the Powerbook I currently use. As a Macoholic, much of this blog will be devoted to discussion of Mac topics, particularly pro applications. But I also expect to discuss politics, music, theater, and who-knows-what.

Part of the reason for creating this blog is a desire to get into Podcasting. I'm currently involved in the podcasts produced by my employer, but wish to do a bit of my own.

I also do a bit of web development, although I am not seeking any new clients along those lines. I run several websites for myself, and also a storefront for one of my coworkers.

I welcome feedback on this blog, or you can email me at fellcast@gmail.com.
